Seriously, it isn't the card that is at issue here.
It's the install of the manager. And, I personally use the DUN
to access and dial the card. Don't even use the VZW manager application.

You will go dooooh!! when you do find the 'bug' - it will be some setting somewhere.
I'd bet it has to do with your enabling WiFi management when installing it.
Somehow, due to a quirk in the settings - or not getting the settings back to where
they were, (like re-joining a domain). In fact, I'd bet the machine name or the domain got changed.
Causing the machine not to have permissions on the network.
