I recently moved from Cingular to Verizon and have been reading in this

chimes in about how Cingular is better etc etc. Who the heck is he?

Among other things, I'm the person that created the alt.cellular.cingular
newsgroup.

I occasionally crosspost relevant information of interest to this newsgroup,
but only rarely, and not in support of any other carrier.

Some of my other posts (apparently the ones you have in mind) have landed here
because they were in response to a childish personal attack on me that was
crossposted to this newsgroup by a person with personal grudges against GSM in
general, Cingular as a carrier (because his wife got poor Cingular signal at
work), and me personally (for rebutting his fabrications).

My actual position, as I've stated many times, is that there's no one best
carrier, and that everyone should choose the carrier that best serves their
needs, including coverage in areas important to them.
