You have internet access on a computer, right? Assuming yes since you
posted. Go to www.verizonwireless.com and log in to your account.
Then you can go in to activate a different phone and enter the ESN of
the new phone (found under the battery). Once that is done, the site
will instruct you to dial *228 on the "new" phone and then press 1
when prompted. This will program the "new" phone.
FYI, you need to make sure the phone you want to use is eGPS capable,
otherwise it won't take in the system. Pretty much any phone made in
the last 2 years will have this feature, some as old as 3 or 4 years
old may have it.
