have the backlight and keylight always lit (at least while the flip is
open). I have figured out how to adjust the length the backlight is
lit, and have already set it to the maximum (20 seconds). The keylight
remains a mystery. In truth, I can easily live without these features.
However, in the dark, it is very nice to be able to see the screen and
numbers without having to worry about them going dark all of a sudden.
When dialing numbers, the numbers on the screen are too large. On my
older phone, I was able to adjust the font size to "small." I haven't
figured out how to do this with the RAZR. Again though, this is
something that can easily be traded for the stigma of having the RAZR.
I was surprised at the absense of the tip calculator. But perhaps the
most missed feature is the option for a simultaneous ring and vibrate.
The ringers are plenty loud enough, but sometimes one is in situations
where the additional vibrate is necessary (such as in a noisy resturant
or driving in the car with the stereo on). This is a must and I hope
that it becomes available in the next software update.
It is not an ideal phone for games (not for my thumbs anyway). If I am
not careful when pressing the right button (as opposed to the left) of
the jog dial, I will press the "red button" and terminate the game. I
also noticed that the video was a bit jumpy in the first level of "Ice
Age: Artic Slide."
