In comparing the v325 with the v276 on Verizon website, it indicates that the v325 does NOT have National Access and the v276 HAS National access.
How would that difference affect the casual user, who would occasionally like to use the phone to connect to the internet with a laptop computer?

A lot! It means you cannot connect to the Internet via the phone with the V325.
