The problem with the ebay cables is they may not be moto OEM cables, alot of people have had problems with the aftermarket ones so be aware of this.
HowardForums.com has alot of info on the 815 including how to do seem edits to turn on the full obe bt functions. I just installed an AM/FM/CD/BlueTooth Jensen head unit in my jeep, works great but there is an issue with downloading contact names, phone numbers come down fine but the names don't display correclty in the radios LCD. It also does not display sound tracks but that may be the ripping software I used to convert to mpgs so I don't have to carry the ones I bought.
Again Rich, thanks for your help I went to the site and checked it out. Lots of information there also. I did order the OEM disk and cable from a firm called ACC and it stated that both were OEM. They did have those with .99 cent plus shipping which I assumed were the ones you talked about. I just got my Wilson Truckers antenna in so on my next trip to the boonies I should be able to get a decent signal. Might just look into replacing my almost dead radio in the MH with something like what you did. Hmm even copied your info from the web site where you were talking about your installation. My brother is a techie type and I sent
it to him also. (grin)
