I bought a used VX4400 and accidently locked the keypad.
I'm trying to get in contact with the person I bought it from to get the old
number but so far no luck.
I took it in to Verizon but without the old number they said they couldn't
look it up(they would however sell me a new phone :(

Right now I have an expensive useless phone.
I'd like to get it activated Saturday....Is there any way to reset the phone?

Any help is greatly appreciated, zan

It has been reported before than you can call *228 with the keypad locked, and then choose option 1 to program your phone, which then sets your lockcode to the last 4 digits of your phone number. I've never tried this myself, but remember reading it somewhere. It's worth a shot.
