I wonder if the OP ever thought about going to the VZW website? (http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/index.jsp) Yep, the latest minimum family share plan is $69.99 (But when they break down the charges for contractual purposes, it is $60 for the primary line and $9.99 for the second line). Each additional line is $9.99, to a maximum of 5 lines, with 700 shared minutes, free VZW to VZW calling, free nights and weekends, and no roaming. Taxes may bring a two line plan up to $80 or $90 depending on the Federal, State and Local taxes where the primary account holder lives. My older four line plan ($59.99, 500 minutes) winds up costing $98/month with all the taxes ($8 to the county alone for cell phone tax) and no other charges (overages, text messages, Get It Now, etc.).

Of course I have went to the company website. And from experience when you show up in a local store it's all different. So, while the website has general information I don't think it can handle specifics for every market that Verizon Wireless can reach out to. That's just too much information. Also, I did talk to a Verizon Rep and said I can add another phone line to my account (which would be family share) for less then $69.99 month. Of course it's not 700 sharing minutes. It would be lower. And no...that's not on their website. So, reading the website alone really doesn't tell all.
There is a reason it asks you to pump in a ZIP code. That is because it is building a custom reply based on the location you entered. If there are any differences from area to area the reply website will reflect them. A well done website can reflect any set of conditions.
From my experience the prices you see on the website is what you will see in the store.
