FWIW Janie, I lost my enthusiasm for LG phones long before I returned to Verizon. LG phones on Sprint and Cingular are no better.

Are there other brands where you can control "restricted" calls to be a silent ringer or do I need to stick with LG for that? 

I believe Samsung does it as well.
