Wow, THAT'S interesting.
Typically, I would say that you're not getting the name data because it actually *costs* the wireline company money to retrieve the Caller ID name information as well as the number. Sometimes wireline phone companies wait for the agreements for name database checks to end, then strong arm the wireless company into a cheaper price. However, because it's a Verizon Wireless phone, and a Verizon Wireless landline, that doesn't make sense. Unless Verizon is stupid enough to actually charge ITSELF for Caller ID name dips.
Maybe it's a glitch? I would call *611 and let them know about it.
