Any suggestions on phone brand?

I currently have a Motorola V220 and have had it since Jan. 2005. It's time
for a new battery and I figured I"d just get a new phone.
The reception on mine isn't the greatest. As far as Cingular claiming to be
the lowest in drop calls - I don't really agree with that.
I like the features this phone has - especially the USB port for which I can
use to download pictures and ringtones from my computer.
One of the minuses is the volume on the ringtones. Sometimes if I'm in a
public place, I don't even here it ring.
Any suggestions on which kind to buy? My husband has an LG and the volume on
ringtones is louder than mine....
would like to have the USB port if possible -
