Same in Northern California. Actually Verizon is much better than Sprint
up here, but the GSM carriers are not great, and T-Mobile is very poor.

All of the major carriers actually have good coverage in Northern
California, even MetroPCS. Cingular GSM coverage is arguably the best,
followed by Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint, although different carriers
are of course better/worse in different areas.
