I think that the real issue here is "can I get around the "rule" that
Cingular states clearly on the Media Net page, wherein the Media Net plans
are not intended to be used and can not be used as a tethering plan. If you
chose to do so then great - but if somehow - and however they do it -
Cingular determines that in a 1 hour span you downloaded 5 Mb of data and a
V220 is incapable of displaying that much data in that time period - so they
remove your media net plan. And the how do I know they took it off answer
is that the phone will simply not connect to the internet any more. You
will get a DATA REFUSED error. Then you call into care - and they transfer
you to data support - who fixes these issues - and the rep tells you that
you need the DTCNUNL or translated Data Connect Unlimited plan - 59.99 on
sale till 12-31-05. You tell him you had a media net plan 19.99 unlimited
(MNUL) and want it back and he says nope.
So you sign up for cable and get a basic cable package. And when you turn
on your TV you are surprised to see HBO - and you know that is a premium
channel. Do you call your cable company? And when they discover the error
and turn HBO off do you call them up and tell them to turn it back on
because it was there before?
