What "tax cut", Brian? Oh, you mean the Bush tax rates?
Gee, Brian, these rates have been in effect since at least 2006, so I
can't see how they're going to "cost" the government *anything*.
Just a continuation of the current tax rates.
These are the best Journalism schools have to offer?
Where will the U.S. treasury get the money to replace the taxes that
would be paid by the people netting more than $250,000?
Who cares? It belongs to the people, not the damned government!
Are you willing to gut the defense budget and stop policing the world
and maintaining an empire? Are you willing to stop corporate
welfare? Are you willing to be a true conservative and balance
federal spending with federal income? Are you willing to study the
Reagan years and see the ascendency of the Neo-Conservative ideas of
economics and the damage it has done? Are you willing to understand
why W.H. Bush called it voodoo economics?
These arent a binary choice. ( either I'm willing to do every one of those
things, OR we get taxed without limitations and the government spends
without limitation.)
Now on each issue:
Defense: We should withdraw all our troops immediately from around the
world, except as needed to protect our own presence and our merchant
shipping on the high seas. This means withdrawing from over 900 permanent
military bases, including Japan, Korea, Germany, etc. We're defending
countries, some since WWII, that have more money than we do, and frankly if
any nation wont pay for their own defense or put up their own blood to
defend themselves, they sure as hell arent worth defending by us! So yes,
no empire. JUST defend our own nation and our BORDERS. A nation without
borders ceases to be a nation, which is exactly what the globalist
socialists WANT for us, just look at George Soros' agenda!
Corporate welfare? What the hell is that? Corporations dont pay taxes and
any taxes ON them is just an additional layer of dishonest additional
taxation on us, the people who buy their goods and services. End all
corporate taxation and watch this country prosper.
Be a true conservative? Why would I want to be when I've never been one?
I'm an Objectivist, which I consider FAR better than that.
Balance federal spending with income? I'll go as far as to say that NO
government should be allowed, by constitution, to do anything else.
I agree on neo-cons, and think that many of them are just Progressive
wolves in sheeps clothing. ( see the Fabian Society and their symbol )
Which Bush?
I've come a LONG way since voting for GW Bush, my thinking has evolved, and
he's been exposed since then too, and I now think he was a neo-con leaning
Progressive. I wont vote for someone like that again.

"Remember that there is no such dichotomy as 'human rights' versus
'property rights.' No human rights can exist without property rights. Since
material goods are produced by the mind and effort of individual men, and
are needed to sustain their lives, if the producer does not own the result
of his effort, he does not own his life. To deny property rights means to
turn men into property owned by the state. Whoever claims the 'right' to
'redistribute' the wealth produced by others is claiming the 'right' to
treat human beings as chattel." -- Ayn Rand- Hide quoted text -

Hmmm, we have a strange intersecting of political positions. I no
longer consider myself an adherent or member of any American political
party.
