Will it still not be a Big Deal when YOUR taxes, and the costs of what YOU

I'm retired Mike and do not have anything to worry about. They would
not dare to fuxx with us O.F.s, for we have the power of AARP, 40
million strong and would not hesitate to take the offending politicians
to the wood shed for a good lesson in not fuxxing with the O.F.s. :)

The AARP supported the health care bill because it was a net positive for seniors, even though Medicare Advantage is going to be cut eventually.

OTOH, the AARP is not the political organization it once was. It has become a marketing organization selling high-price car insurance and property insurance to people that don't know any better. I'm not retired, but as soon as I turned 50 they started mailing me stuff. I joined for one year (free membership through Walgreen's). What a joke. All the products they promote are a rip-off, _especially_ the insurance products. We pay far less for auto and homeowners insurance that the companies they are affiliated with charge. Any other discounts they offer are no better than similar discounts available from other organizations that don't charge for membership.
