Wow. Should I even bother to answer that one? Give it some thought

be
found elsewhere in this very post.

Jeff

Prove that all the other financial news is less important to
institutional
investors than a piece of legislation. To make it easy, explain the
decisions of 500 mutual fund managers. Pick whatever 500 funds you
like.

It;'s really tough for you do deal with the fact the stimulus plan is
a
bust, isn't it?

I never said it was perfect, and you are trying now to divert
attention away
from your mistake.

I haven't made one.

OK. The 500 mutual fund managers decided that Obama's stimulus bill
isn't
going to boost the economy after all, and are running from the stock
market like it's a leper. They're looking for safer bets like Gold,
because they don't believe the bill is going to do anything to get
business going any time soon. If you've been paying attention, you'll
see
that gold is on the rise again, while the stock market goes flat.

Can you please supply evidence to back your claim? AFAIK, the mutual
funds don't release their holdings information often, only every six
months or so.

It's an editorial. If you're looking for a more reliable source, I would
suggest the Wall Street journal, although (and I know you're going to find
this hard to believe) I haven't read it since Murdock bought it out. It
always leaned a bit to the Conservative, and they said they were going to
try to keep it that way, but I bet it will be becoming more Conservative
as time goes on.

They probably also made note of all the entitlement spending like
Welfare
and WIC/AFDC and realize these people don't buy the items that grow the
economy, and hence the exodus from the stock market.

They buy food, diapers and clothes. Those things help grow the
economy.

Not as much as iPods, Chevrolets and Pinot Noire..

iPods: Made overseas
Chevrolets: Sorta maybe
Wine: Wineries are not particularly good at job creation. Many don't own
their vineyards, so they only employ a small staff.

The vast majority of our food is made in this country. Diapers are primarily
made here and in Canada. I'll be sending a truck to pick up some in Georgia
on Monday. That's where we always get them from. Clothes: Mostly overseas,
but their sales outlets employ far more people than stores which sell
electronics.

If you do not know what "institutional investors" means, ask for help,
and
then you can finish your task.

If 'institutional investors' had any faith in Barack's spending bill,
they'd be snapping up stocks left and right at the bargain prices
they're
at now. Why aren't they, Joe? If the bill is so good for the economy of
the US, stock should be being bought like they were printed on gold
leaf.

What stocks are you buying right now?

The institutional investors have to have money to buy stocks. For
example, mutual funds are institutional investors. If they don't have
the funds (because of people cashing out, for example), then they
can't buy stocks. People do sell stocks for their own reasons, like to
replace lost income.

Yup and a lot of people have been cashing in their mutual funds because of
the poor performance.

And a lot of people have NOT been cashing out.
