Re: Asian brands no longer dominate reliability list; Ford Motor Co is as good or better

Apparently somebody missed the point! Toyota SHUT DOWN, for THREE MONTHS
one fourth of the model run, its brand new Tundra assembly plant, built with
Texas taxpayer bonds and sent the taxpayer trained work force out to do
their civic duty, BECAUSE THE TUNDRA IS NOT SELLING in a state and country
that buys MORE INDIVIDUAL TRUCKS MODELS than any car! LOL

Although Dodge and GM build some of their trucks in Mexico, they use mostly
US materials and parts. 85% of the trucks GM sells in the US are made in
the US and Canada. Ford does build trucks in Mexico but they are NOT sold in
the US, they are built in Mexico for the Mexican market.

All of the all new 2009 Fords trucks are made in the US, the Oakville Canada
plant was closed with the end of production of the old model. In 2009 Ford
trucks sold in Mexico will be made in the US.

Cuautitl n, Mexico. Job 1 for Ford's new B-class car will be coming up in
early 2010. The plant near Mexico City, that build the old 2008 F-Series
pickups for the Mexican market, will be re-tooled starting in early 2009.
When the revamp, to build FWD vehicles, is complete in March it will supply
2010 Fiestas for all North American markets The plant, near Mexico City
will supply Fiestas for all North American markets

Bottom line is that if you don't need a custom bed, and want to buy a
truck that is far more reliable than a Mexican or Canadian truck, then
help keep U.S. workers employed, and send a message to companies like Ford
that they should stop closing U.S. plants and shipping jobs to Mexico, and
buy a U.S. made Tundra.

You forget to say in my opinion

Oh, and when Toyota has a sales slump they don't rush out and lay off
workers. See:
