I've given up on single women in general. They are LIARS. They'll
pretend to agree with you to get you hooked. Then when they got their
hooks in your heart, BAM. I know women that agree with me on the
important things. I work with them. Unfortunately, they already have a
husband. The oldest single girl at work is turning 30 next week and
she's divorced already. She's pretty but already has two Significant
Others.

And you've met and analyzed every single woman from every single place in
the country, or even just in Illinois? Preposterous.

Like I said, I finally figured out I was insane. Doing the same thing
over and over again and expecting different results. I've been at this
game 30 years and I am a LOSER. I have a bright L written in red
lipstick across my forehead that only single women seem to be able to
see.

I've been married for nearly 21 years, and I say you're a loser too - but
*by choice*!

I used to be a good person, but I've lost the milk of human kindness.
Moving over 15 times in my adult life you either develop really good
social skills like my brother did, or none at all. I today turn my back
on American society. It's full of phonies, liars and other liberals.
I've been treated like I was a retard (IQ 138, BTW) since I was in
school. I've even been treated like I was a retard by so called
Christians. I know I'm probably going to hell, but at least I have the
consolation of knowing they're so stupid they're going to go to Hell,
too.

If you're anywhere near as negative as you seem to be on the NG, I don't
wonder why you've had no luck with women. Further, if I'd waited for a
guy who agreed with *everything* I believe politically, I'd be the lady
who has all the cats. I suppose you have loads of *male* friends who are
as conservative as you, huh? Oh, wait - you already told me this one.
Men today are brainwashed by liberal women. That's pretty insulting of
these mens' intelligence and strength of character. I can assure you, I
never could get Bob to change any of his views, political or otherwise,
nor would I try. We're divergent on many things, as are the other
couples we know. Being able to compromise on what's worth fighting over,
and what is not, is key. Like Cathy says, hooking up with someone who
thinks *exactly* like you would be a huge bore. At least to most, I
should think. Sounds like you want to marry *yourself.*

I'm sick and tired of having to hide what I am in order to get a date.
Very few women are willing to take on a guy with non-functioning
kidneys. So my life is OVER and DONE at 50. No more chances for
happiness unless I become what I hate, a damned LIAR. To hell with the
society that requires me to lie. To hell with Status Symbol Suburbia,
who pretends to be moral and good, but in fact turned their back on good
morals in the 60's and started pursuing rampant materialism, and the
kids pursued liberalism and the communist drivel that started to sneak
into the public screwels.

I will agree with you on the kidney thing for many (ditto a woman with a
significant health problem), but if, when Bob and I were getting serious,
he told me he had such a disorder, I *know* I would not have dumped him.
The key is to let the relationship develop, and don't go into it with
preconceived notions. If you end up going your separate ways, she has no
need of knowing. If you think you want to go further, it's appropriate
to lay your cards on the table. I went into my relationship with Bob
hoping to make another friend. It wasn't until he made his feelings
known to me that I even thought of him as a romantic partner. I think
good friends are at least as important as lovers, and I treasure them
all.

I know I may as well be talking to my comb, but the humanitarian in me
just hates seeing anyone cling to misery so steadfastly as you, Charles.

Please, PUH-LEEZE get some help!

Thanks. Too bad the one who should be taking it to heart, most likely
won't.

About your plea: plus, in another post today (somewhere - I don't even
remember what thread it was in), Charles said that he now understands why
men/he might want to hit a woman. Red flag. Well, another one; but one
that indicates not only a potential danger to himself, but also to others.
