So an arsonist was apprehended due to provisions within the alleged
"wiretapping" program?
I say "good show".
Since at least Al Capone's era, we've been using wiretaps to solve
various
types of crime. Do you agree?
Wiretapping, yes.
What has changed now? It's not the mere existence of wiretapping. In many
cases, the government is saying "We have evidence, but we can't show it
because it's secret."
You might want to consider the distinct FACT that listening to
word-for-word conversation is not wiretapping in the accepted, defined
sense of the word.
Having sophisticated hard/soft/firmware detect the presence of buzzwords
such as bomb, nuclear, nuke-you-lar <g>, virus, anthrax, etc. in no way
violates the rights of anyone. The detection deviced set in place don't
care what they "hear". And as I said earlier, I don't care about the
rights of a Islamo-fascist.
Take a look at the 6th amendment. Tell me why hiding evidence is NOT
contrary to the provisions of that amendment.
Already answered in another post.
I don't think it was properly answered. Didn't you mention that your son was
a cop?
