None of this is surprising and
none of it is fraud. It's how we move forward.

So I can assume you're going on record as believing that global warming
or, if you wish,
climate change is man-made.

I think it probably is. I might be wrong.

Thank you for your honest answer.

I have an off-the-subject question. You'll notice above that my post was
fragmented
into three segments. When posting, messages do not appear this way to me.

Do they to you? When reading initially, quoting, or both? Unfortunately
this newsreader does not
have line wrap settings, so I'm trying to determine what length to strive
for in posted sentences.

Thanks.

I think wrapping at 72-80 is common. 80 was the standard but the 72 allowed
for various newsreaders to insert the ">>" stuff a time or two before the
post got to looking screwy.

Do you hit return when nearing the right side of your input window? It sort
of looks like you hit a return after "if you wish," in the original post and
after "was fragmented" in the subsquent post and, since those lines were >
72 characters, the software wrapped them again for you where you didn't
plan for it. I've never seen the automatic line wrap undo an explicit
return in one's typed text. When the software starts adding all the ">>"
stuff, line wrapping gets funky, again. HTML text would take care of that
but it isn't popular.

Try using returns only to signal the end of a paragraph (use 2) and
otherwise just let the text wrap in the window. See how that goes. It's
also possible the software puts a return in for you as you near the edge of
the window (but that's not something I've seen in a while).

Another thought, maybe this is an awkward result of usnig a different editor
to compose your replies.

I think the news servers no longer care about line length.

Others here have more experience with various newsreaders than I and could,
perhaps, give you better advice.
