The most likely reason Hillary voted for the war resolution was
because she was ambitious and didn't want to offend popular opinion
and seem unpatriotic. It's also possible, but unlikely, that she
voted for it because she trusted GW Bush (after all, what US president
would lie about Iraq having WMDs or ties to al Qaeda if it wasn't
true?) or because she wanted to give his threat of war enough clout to
cause Saddam to back down and let UN weapons inspectors back in.

Thankfully we have a president who removed this threat without
concern for his own political welfare

If he truly didn't care about his own political welfare he would have
sent in at least 500,000 soldiers. But he knew that such a large
number would require a draft, and he didn't want to risk losing votes
over that.

like some of the other weak politicans that change their spots
when the going gets rough.

It's definitely better to keep plowing on with a military force far
too small for victory, but that's the Chicken George way of fighting
(with other lives).
