The Dam "hole" has been there for centuries. It is only recent that
we can detect it! We need to watch our waste but to think we are
making sword wide climate change is a bit egotistical.

We can't make wide climate changes? Like all the desert in the Middle
East that used to be forested, fertile land?

Or how about the Dustbowl of the 1930's?

Even the oil wells that Saddam set on fire affected the entire world.

It's egotistical to assume that God gave us the Earth and all
creatures to do with what we will.

It is not egotistical to observe that our actions are having an effect
on the whole planet.

All of which were temporary or very small parts of the whole, I might
point out.

Tropical rain forests, anyone?

Cathy

That was akin to the wholesale slaughter of buffalo and elephants, and an
effect of man's greed. Get the developing nations to replace what they
will destroy and there will be a jungle again.

Wayerhauser got the message in the 20's; "Hey, if we keep cutting down
trees for paper and lumber, by 1960 we aren't going to HAVE any trees to
cut down!". So, they planted and cultivated, and HAVE a crop to 'harvest'
now! They had to, or they'd be out of business!

Get the idiots who are cutting down all the mahogany to realize this, and
there will be PLENTY for everyone! Stupidity can be overcome with
education.

BTW, acid rain would have been a better example...

And what REALLY cracks me up is the Environmentalist k00ks that point to
forests and cry out, "Old Growth!!!" when the trees they are pointing to
were planted by the lumber companies in the thirties...

Just ask yourself, "Who is making the money?" If there were no profit
there would be no environmentalist.
