I was the Pinewood Derby chairman the last three years. I made all
sorts of changes and it went surprisingly well. My main objective was
to get the parents out of the mix on race day and let the kids have a
good time. Nothing quite ruins a Pinewood Derby like over-zealous
parents arguing race results.
I hung out with the den leader... or whatever he was... we used to skip
some of the meetings and play pinball with the den dues... I don't
wanna hear it, I was like, 9 and he was setting a bad example. I still
got my Tiger badge.
Actually I think it was the Bear badge. Erm...bobcat, wolf, then bear.
Right?
