Our Cub Scout organization is from 1st through 5th grade. Ist graders
are called Tigers. It is probably something newer than when your
children went through Scouts.
I was the Pinewood Derby chairman the last three years. I made all
sorts of changes and it went surprisingly well. My main objective was
to get the parents out of the mix on race day and let the kids have a
good time. Nothing quite ruins a Pinewood Derby like over-zealous
parents arguing race results.
