Sorry Hunt, but making the statement "True scientist" Is idiotic.
I don't know about the "environuts " but most Scientists believe
that
there are many contributing factors, including man made green house
gases, and many of those believe, and have significent evidence that
the man made green house gases are having significent impact.
Filtering
out that information is not anymore valid than filtering out natural
causes, by doing that you are in the same class as the "environuts"

Have you planted a tree yet?

Good advice for old tomh. Deforestation is the world's largest
problem,
not the so called and highly hyped ....global warming....

So I guess you don't agree with all of the Conservative
industry-sponsored "Wise use" groups, huh?

So what do you expect people in the US to do about deforestation in
other countries? Invade? That seems to be the Right-wing answer to
everything. :-)

Not a bad idea!

.....but we could just buy up the Jungles and put Weyerhaeuser in
charge....

Or we could do both!

http://www.weyerhaeuser.com/

Weyerhaeuser is part of the problem.

nope....they are part of the solution.

I'd suggest you go talk to them about their re forestation policies
and what they ARE doing.

hey fund those wise use groups
and they cut down forests. They especially rape _public_ land. Why
should we as a country subsidize companies like Weyerhaeuser? Isn't
that just a government handout like welfare? I thought you guys were
against that kind of thing?

Buying up forests in other countries is not a good idea. We're already
spending too much money and increasing the deficit. Besides that, we
can barely take care of our own forests as is.

Another kid who saw the 'Tree harvesters are bad' movie when he was in
school. Too bad he wasn't told those harvested trees were in nice even rows
for a reason . . . .
