Why? Because I know that the levees were not designed for Katrina? Because I
suggest that we should build shit to withstand the worst that can be
imagined and breathe a sigh of relief with less than the worst comes along,
rather than build half of what we need to protect against the worst then
sweat bullets when the worst blows ashore?
Building a levee is kind of like building a road; if you expect 250,000
trips per day, then you should build for 300,000 and hope traffic never gets
that bad rather than build for 200,000 and have an obsolete road before the
first shovel of dirt is turned over. If you want to protect people that live
in a flood plain, you should build a wall higher than the highest tide and
stronger than the pounding surf.
You are the one that doesn't know this, me thinks you be the stupid one

Read the current economic reports. They say that Federal Revenues are UP.
Money flowing into the federal government has increased at a rate that
should cut the Federal Deficit in half in less than the 10 years that people
that plan this sort of thing planned on.
