Most excellent! Sorry, Josh, but SkodaPilot or Sleeker here has hit the
nail on the head. We are headed for an ice age. Right about now. The last
one was 10,000 years ago ,the occur every 10,000 years or so.
Of course, it won't happen overnight, nor even in our or our children's
lifetimes.
What I don't understand is, these scientists are smart. I just took
Geology. And advanced Geology. And still MORE Geology. They KNOW that
there is a brief warming period prior to an Ice Age! Only very few have
said so, and they get buried in the back pages of the Podunk Picyune,
because what they are saying is not popular and doesn't fit anyone's
agenda! Plain and simple.
Now, this is not entirely to undermine the fact that greenhouse gasses DO
have an effect. You can see it every so often if you're one of those who
doesn't wash your car regularly, and it begins to fade due to the Acid
Rain. But some of these kooks are predicting the Total Destruction of the
Human Race. Well, except for Thermonuclear War, it ain't happening. We'll
do what our ancestors did 10,000 years ago...pick up and move to a more
suitable clime...
My winter heating oil use has INCREASED in the last couple of years, and I
have been moving the thermostat LOWER to compensate. I don't think that
means it's getting warmer...
Just the facts...
