I don't know if one can relate that to _American_
influence, to me it seems more like not having
laid enough emphasis on a corporate car design.

Oh, and YES, Zetsche IS a _good guy_, far, far
better than Schrempp and so there is really hope
Mercedes will come back to its glory of the past.

Zetsche did a tremendous job with Chrysler -
saved them from bancrupcy - and put some very
attractive models on the way, see 300C.
