Ohio is trying to pass legislation for "medicinal marijuana" but I
have a feeling it will fail as it has over the last couple of years.
Might be worth considering a move to another state that permits it.

I did, however, ask my doctor once if he could prescribe Marinol just
to help with the nausea and loss of appetite. Unfortunately he said
"no" because he didn't want me to "become addicted to it". *sigh*
That's another pet peeve of mine ... doctors who refuse to prescribe certain medications for the reason you mentioned. That goes for pain medication for the terminally ill. So what if the meds are addictive? Why worry about that possibility if someone gravely ill?

If it helps, I don't see an issue. Doctors, however, are another which
I can't stand. The least they could do is actually *listen* to the
patient for once instead of their own moral agenda.

I think what it all boils down to (and this might be a rumor, I have
no way to verify this claim) is beer companies feel they will loose
money to the sale of weed. If a person has money enough to buy a 10
or a 20 dollar bag, for example, they feel that money should go to
them instead.

Personally, I myself don't buy that for a second. It's not uncommon
(at least in the past) to see me with a joint in one hand and a beer
in the other. So it's not like I'm not doing my part to keep the beer
companies pockets lined. Besides, what are the two common things you
see at a rock or heavy metal concert? Why, beer and weed of course.

I've only seen that beer/weed scenario in movies. Maybe I just wasn't paying attention. My eyes were elsewhere. [g] <-- grin

I can no longer afford to pay attention. I've too many IOU's. lol

It does make sense to me that the alcohol beverage industry would try to save their cash cow from competition with weed.

If I could/can afford both, I'm good with that. If I had to chose
between one vice over another, well, that would be a tough call. I'd
probably go with the bag over the beer. Except for one thing..
football and weed just aren't that great a combination.

Invite a friend to bring one or the other, then you don't have to pay for both. Drink beer during the plays, and smoke weed during the halftime show.
