heart beat. Right now I'm in the process of cleaning the tower out of
any and all dust inside it before I move forward.
As any good technician will tell you, "Check the simple things first".
Right now I'm waiting on the wife to get home with some CPU grease
since I took off the CPU fan and heat sink. The heat sink wasn't that
bad, but it could have used a decent cleaning any way.
Now time to fire up the air compressor to blow out the power supply
and inside the comp. Mind you, I have no garage so the compressor sits
in my basement.. Oh goodie!! NOISE!!! lol
Well, I suppose I'll kill my ear drums before the wife gets home with
the rug rats.
"What's that honey?? I can't hear you.. I'm temporarily deaf from the
compressor.." hahahahahahahaha!!!!
Question is, will it be believable? :)
Does anyone want to explain to this idiot how he likely just fucked
his entire system, or should I do it?
That's his flaw right there. He doesn't think.
I've used air compressors all the time to clean out a computer..
Including, but not limited to the power supply.
If he had any ounce of intelligence, which he doesn't, he would know
that the first thing you do BEFORE putting the air compressor away
after using it is to DRAIN OUT the water and the air from inside the
tank and THEN leave the drain line open until you need to use it
again.
Not only does that save you extra money in the long run on repairs or
a replacement tank, you're also preventing rust from developing on the
inside due to NOT draining it.
But then again *rolls eyes*, Fatty's the residink "expert" on
everything. After all, he read it on Wiki!! It's GOTTA be true!! lol
I use a 20lb CO2 tank of the type you see on soft drink
dispensers. 20lbs of liquid CO2 goes a long way when
blowing out or blowing up things. It's my uber dust blaster.
FLNF
TDD
LOL
This Craftsman tank I have is a portable 30 gal that does a good job.
What I do is, if I'm using it to clean the inside of a PC and/or the
power supply, I start using the air nozzle seconds after I've flipped
the switch on the compressor.
I try not to let it get over 30 PSI for comps. Usually 10 to 20 PSI is
all I need considering it takes less than 2 minutes at that pressure
to dust out a comp tower.
The only aggravating part (for me anyway considering the basement
layout), aside from the ear splitting noise it makes is that I have to
put that *** all away after only needing it for 1 minute or two. Then
having to drain out the tank, wrap the line around the handle.. ugh..
Compressed air isn't worth buying.. The cans will periodically freeze
and cause less air to expel. Hey, Fatthew has a lot of hot air to go
around.. Maybe I'll market "Blab N A Can (r)" in his honor. lol
Of course, it won't have the annoying stench of a used diaper, the
bulbous necks and the fragrance of a worthless (sl)hack.
Or is that what sells these days? I'd see something like that on a
store shelf that says "May Contain The Air of Defeat" on it I'm
passing that up.
===
Oh, Hey Fatthew.. I didn't know you were reading this while playing
dress-up with your Leggo date. About to whine and dine your lady(boy)?
Here's a really good place to take your play(with yourself) date...
Denny's.. They gladly except all kinds in there.. And you, kid, are
certainly among one of them.. Um, kinds that is. btw, you can keep the
boot I planted up your ass. I have no desire to have it back.
No need to thank me, Chubsy Wubsy Woo Woo. I'm just generous today. :D
===
Ok, sorry about that. I got side tracked for a hot second.. Now, what
were we discussing? Oh yeah.. Air tanks. lol
Yeesh, it's liak I'm being verbally assaulted by a spastic, angry,
Ritalin deficient toddler in a therapy session. The truly sad thing
is that, that kiddie level of inane, 5th rate, invective verbiage is
actually EFFECTIVE against himself (hence the reason he's trying to
use it on me)...*shakes head*...it's no wonder he has blinders on. My
regular level of invective word art must be like getting whacked over
the head with a baseball bat six or eight times compared to what he
thinks is an effective verbal attack. He really does have the
mentality of a child I'm afraid...although I certainly don't feel any
remorse for any emotional damage I may have inflicted upon the
flailing kiddie, after all, I'm not his Usenet babysitter.
