I used to have cox internet, and, because I lived in a
university apartment, I was connected directly to the
university when they got the fiber optics in place, the
service was really really fast. I dropped cox altogether and
saved $60 a month. The university had very limited usenet
access (few groups and no binaries) so I signed up with
easynews. When I moved to my house I had to get cox internet
again but I was happy with easynews and just kept it. For
$10 a month it's a bargain, and cox's usenet service is only
so so. So I guess the question should be "how many people
actually *put up* with their ISP's usenet service. Still if
I was using cox internet usenet services and they just
summarily canceled it, I would be very angry.

Just read a note from a Verizon customer in another froup, it
will be against their TOS to access alt.binaries.* using
Verizon internet access and a third party provider.

Verizon is only going to offer the Big-8 hierarchy.

INDIVIDUALS rights as far as OWNERSHIP over something and EVERYBODY'S
rights as far as what they can do in PUBLIC VENUES. Although even

The ONLY time in which there is grounds to argue EVERYBODY'S rights as
far as free speech on a PRIVATELY OWNED medium is when they are
recieving GOVERNMENT FUNDING, because at that point they're considered
to be partially owned by the public and as such the public has the
same rights to free speach as they do with the servers in question.

myself, will actually initiate preemptive blocks on other people's
servers. Like at one time I had all my sites setup so that if the
referring URL was on the PoE or SA domain you would wind up redirected
to a picture of tub girl. Anyone can do whatever the *** they like
with THEIR SERVER, whether it makes you all *** hurtz and snitty or
not. The Internet is not just some free for all venue for you to piss
all over whenever you please, every server has got its own ToS, it's
own rules, it's own blocks, it's own set of morals, philosophy,
beliefs, etc. Again, if you don't liak it...go the *** and start yer
own server/network and quit yer lame ass bitching.
