Um, I have a hardware firewall (some linksys model) at home, along
with openSUSE firewall on my systems.
At work, we use some Cisco uber expensive stuff. I don't have a clue
what, but will find out.
If you guys had to reccomend a software firewall, which would you reccomend?
And by software, I'm talking about software installed on a gateway [not the
computer brand] computer between me and the internet. Also, have any of you
guys had any luck with multi-port NICs? I've heard that such a beast
exists. How does one work? Is it like an internal SWITCH or is it actually
like 4 seperate NICs except on one card? (I'd be wanting to make a
router/firewall machine with some of the stimulus money I think i'm gonna
get.)
