On that note, just saw the movie, Little Miss Sunshine, this weekend.
Stressed me out. (Too close to my family, IMO.) What made me laugh,
was the thing about pushing the VW until the guy could get it into
third and then start it.

Reminded me of high school!

Back in the old country while in university I drove VW's. My house was
at the top of a not too steep hill, but enough that I could push start
the car myself on really cold mornings if there wasn't too much snow. I
always knew I could at least get to school.

Heh - now there's the magic of the VW.

I don't think I ever had to help my mom start her beetle, but I remember
it having issues once in a while. Too bad I never got to drive the car.
