In fact I'm fawning over my new OS.
Just did an upgrade, it took a while, but the computer seems much
more responsive. I'm a happy feisty fawn (Ubuntu 7.04 with KDE
3.5.6).
Just out of curiosity. How do you folks do system admin and software
updates? Do you have a central administration tool? Do you do updates
from repositories or do you have to download packages individually?
I keep hearing about how friendly the Ubuntu camp is - particularly
when compared to the stuck-up assholes who make up a large portion of
the SUSE camp. However, I've been using only SUSE for a few years and
I'd be worried about switching distros. I love YAST and SMART, and
can't imagine life with going back to something like apt-get or yum.
:(
It is against my religion to be using command line tools.
Alot of people these days are in that religion.I personally use a lot of
command line tools. Eh software management utilities has mad all of our
lives easier. Yeah i miss the days of installing everything by hand and
throttled bandwidth to get the software from overseas hehe.
