Well, I finally found the problem. See, this is what happens when you
spend too many hours staring at the same screen, especially late in the
evening, when sleep should be occurring.
All of this hassle was do to one teeny-tiny moment of dyslexia. 2
letters were switched in part of a mapping file, pointing to a table
that didn't exist.
Yes...at this point I deserve a big fat "duh!!"
Oh well, live and learn.

Mmmmm... switched letters you did, eh? Not good idea that is! Too much
frustration can that cause.
