I think it's quite an interesting development. I wouldn't want to be
infected with that virus, but it's still interesting. Contrary to other,
traditional viruses you really lose your files it encrypted if you just
remove the virus.

It requires a whole new approach from AV writers to remove those kind of
viruses. First they would have to extract the algorithm and the
key/password it used to encrypt the files, then disable the virus, then it
would have to search your computer for files that were encrypted by the
virus, decrypt them and then remove the virus completely. Not an easy
task...

Although I understand little of it all, I suspected it would not be an
easy task to fight this virus.
And on the other hand, the inventor must be some kind of a genius...
