Just heard about this service - haven't tried it. Thought I'd
give you all a heads up if you want...

testing your site in different browsers without having to setup
virtual machines.
I believe Jenn had posted that link a while back (though nothing's
wrong with posting it again). As I remember, they have an initial 24
hour free trial.
Hello Mara, LTNS
There is also http://www.snugtech.com/safaritest/ which will give you
a screenshot of your site in safari for free.
There is also another community based one I found somewhere. You
submit a URL and people submit their screenshots. It took time
though, and I have lost the URL anyway =P

Ah that one I could do with, Mac testing is a bit of a hassle for me
mac and it told me I couldn't access their site without IE. So I fired
up IE and went to the site (there is IE for macs but it's not as good as
Safari) and it worked fine. Today I went back to the site but with
safari spoofing the user agent as IE 6 and the site worked just fine.
Why in the hell would some stupid web designer only design for IE and
actually bar all others from entering? I can understand if they are just
lazy and can't be bothered to design for other browsers, but to actually
bar non-IE users is plain stupid.
Yes, I have seen it happen. I think the best explination for it is that
some people are idiots.
IIRC for a while Microsoft would server a DIFFRENT broken version of
their site to FF users. As in diffrent HTML was served out. (Don't hold
me to this, but I think it was a few years back).
I think its funny that people block the people that are NOT using the
broken browser that makes sites render incorectly.
Though I'm just getting back into managing a group using .net as a
platform, IIRC, ASP.NET sites are supposed to serve one level of
functinality to IE6 browsers and degrade gracefully to IE5/Netscape
browsers.
I'll let you know when we move forward.
