Yeah, I know that it increases during the holidays. My question was
more that it seems since the last update SpamAssassin processes
rules differently, and stuff that used to get blocked is no longer
being blocked.

According to their site v3.1.0 was a major upgrade, but still...it
shouldn't change how spam is processed / blocked.
